 4.7.2. Disabling the YARN Timeline Service

To prevent Hive and Tez from writing event metrics to the Application Timeline Server, disable the Yarn Timeline Service.

  1. Select Services > YARN > Configs .

  2. Expand Application Timeline Server.

  3. Clear the yarn.timeline-service.enabled checkbox.

  4. Restart the YARN service.
